Currently, I am living in British Columbia, on the Sunshine Coast.  I am a retired engineer and technical writer who dabbles in photography as a hobby.   I was born in Scotland and spent my childhood and university days in the city of Glasgow.

My Photography

I took up photography as a pastime when I was a teenager. My father taught me to process film and bought me a camera at that time. Since then, I’ve had several periods of getting involved in photography, but never spent enough time at it to reach a point where I could say I was a photographer.

My Town

Sechelt is a small town on the Sunshine Coast of BC.  We have more sunshine here than on the rest of the BC coast, hence the name.  The community relies on logging, mining and the tourist industry for income.  As there’s no road access from mainland BC it relies on the ferry system for transportation.
